THREE OPP(M) SDN BHD is providing a solution to TM by supplying an Ethernet To The Home (ETTH) solution which will be used to enhance the distribution of the access network to provide Data, VOIP, IPTV , VoD and other services to end customers.

The ETTH system is a true end-to-end Ethernet network supporting triple play IP solutions. Ethernet to the Home (ETTH) is a revolutionary technology that provides next generation speeds for data access over cable networks and overcome the bandwidth and cost restrictions. The offering includes products for transportation of Ethernet data at very high speeds (up to 100 Mbit/s).

TM wishes to provide the last mile access to its customer through Ethernet Interfaces to the customers to provide the following facilities

These Switches would be deployed in large numbers in the TM network across the country. A requirement to manage the Switches remotely, through an EMS, is necessary.

The network of 5000 number of Switches (a combination of M2404, C16 and ORG), will be managed by one OLIVE EMS Server, as long as IP reachability to each switch.

CygNet ETTH EMS uses SNMP protocol for managing the ETTH nodes. Typically the EMS management traffic is generated for three type of management communication.

1.Status and Performance polling to maintain historical information in the EMS 2.On-Demand Polling for viewing on-line performance of parameters. 3.TRAP based fault notification generated by the nodes. Typically the traffic generated by the Status and Performance polling (1) will be substantially high compared to the other two.
